Hey. Here again. I missed the first show, but caught the second show (at least I thought you said it was the second show). You should put it on your "events page" so others will know about it. Wow...lots of insights shared there! I missed the first ten minutes, but listened until the end. I wanted to call but didn't know the number to call. Is there one, or do you just submit questions on the blog? Also, will it be on every Thursday night from 7-8PM?

I'm curious for your answers.

Hi Randi,
My apologies for my tardy response; I initially missed your entry. I’m so glad you caught the show and hoped that you liked it, and, thank you for blogging in. I am also glad that you, as many others, hold that thoughts can affect outcomes, and that you liked the concept of the meditation. The meditation I describe has many benefits. In addition to helping you channel your thoughts in a consistent manner, they help to focus your mind on what you really want to have happen.
I appreciate your questions about the books. I’ll take them in order. I wrote three books on this topic to help appeal to a wider audience. The original is long and quite complex. It is suitable for those with a definitive science bent. The second covers essentially the same material, but does so in an abridged fashion. It shortens the original by about 35-40 percent. The last (Ordaining Reality in Brief) is less than 200 pages; so it’s about 60 percent shorter than the original. Also, each book updates the material as new experiments shed new light on topic discussed. As to your second question: “which one explains the meditation best?” They are meant to be equal in that regard. Also, check the blog as I have updated some of the meditation techniques on my readers’ blog.
Thank you again for your questions. Happy reading… and blog in again soon.

Thanks,

Dear Jamie,

I have been asked this question before, so I am giving it a very full answer here on the blog.

As discussed in What the Bleep Do We Know, and as cited in my books, there is now empirical data supporting the notions that thoughts and emotions can influence physical phenomena and physical devices. This fairly recent discovery is being made on several fronts. One such example is the groundbreaking work of a pioneer Japanese researcher, Dr. Emoto, about his astonishing discovery concerning the effects of thoughts on water. Dr. Emoto has documented his discovery photographically, providing viable, scientific proof of this phenomenon, as well as an evolved consciousness concerning one of our most precious resources. Here is another case (which I also talk about in book).
Since 1979, a series of how consciousness may affect physical devices has been conducted in a basement lab at Princeton University. In these experiments researchers and participants measure the effect of thoughts on machines by influencing balls to go in certain directions, water fountains to rise higher, and drums to quicken their beat….all strictly via wishes and/or influencing thoughts. In the most cited version of these experiments, the researchers employ random event generators (i.e., computers that spew random output) as participants focus their intent on controlling the output of these machines. Out of the several million trials conducted, they've detected slight, albeit statistically significant, evidence that support the notion that minds can somehow interact with and influence the behavior of inanimate objects such as, to your question, lottery machines which are carefully designed to be totally random and tamper-proof. Further, they’ve found that certain individuals consistently influence these machines significantly more than others. It is important to note, that although some of these results are indeed extraordinary, the researchers conducting them take careful steps to avoid venturing too far out on the proverbial limb to make the connection that minds cause direct effects on machines and/or the exact nature of this communication.
I have been doing research on this topic and write about these phenomena as well. However, I am much more interested in the subject of how it can happen within the [enlightened] laws of science as I am convinced that incidents of this nature are simply variations on the paranormal theme. As most readers, and certainly all scientists, know, the conventional/orthodox view of science, particularly physics, proscribes any connection between human consciousness and the realm of physical reality. Although there is ample room for the phenomenon of consciousness within Quantum Mechanics, there is yet no accepted explanation of how consciousness can effect a location of space or the property of material objects.

A major part of the reason for mainstream science’s rigid posture is that all things in the universe are relative; ergo, there has to be a reference point for all things. I completely concur with this notion. However, this marks the juncture where I and a few others part company with the science establishment. I shall explain. The reference plane of conventional science (what is generally regarded as The Standard Model) is distance and time. This serves as both a reference point and a barrier that precludes any interaction between consciousness and what we regard as the physical world. My findings and, far more important, the evidential data suggest otherwise. This evidence is, of course, available for mainstream scientists. It also rears its head within some of their own experiments and theories (e.g., Aspects tests, and Bell’s Theorem) as well as those being done in the realm of the paranormal. Mainstream sciences reluctance to investigate these tests with an open mind is akin to the actions of the church hierarchy at the time of Galileo when its members refused to look at the empirical data through Galileo’s telescope because they already had all the answers as, for the last four hundred years, the overriding assumption of mainstream science is that human intention cannot affect physical reality. Yet, experimental research in the latter part of the 20th century and particularly in the last ten years shows that, at least in certain conditions, this assumption is no longer valid.

As I have explained in my three books, I subscribe that there are two levels of reality: physical reality and metaphysical reality. Physical reality is entirely bound by space and time. Metaphysical reality is entirely unbound by space and time. It is beyond, or if you will, it is outside space and time. As a result, it pays by different rules. One significant difference is that the metaphysical realm responds instantaneously to thoughts and emotions, whereas the physical plane reacts much more slowly. I get into detail why this is so, but in simple terms, the physical world is made up of physical vibrations that essentially have mass. Mass, by definition, has momentum and inertia. It takes a great deal of consciousness to overcome this resistance. To illustrate the difference, I often use the analogy of a spaceship in the deep recesses of space. If you wanted the spaceship to go in one direction, you would fire its thrusters in the opposite direction. Soon it would be rapidly moving (in accordance with Newton’s Third Law). Now, imagine that you tried to propel it forward by shining a beam of light abaft. It would take much longer; however, that very action would exert a slight forward propulsion (note: NASA has tested this phenomenon for a solar sail which catches solar photons to propel itself thru space).

Indeed, we need a different set of laws to explain the realm of the metaphysical and how and where the two worlds interact. My theory proposes that we humans have the unique makeup to bridge the two. Again, some of us are more equipped for the task than others, as clairvoyant people can make the connection between the realms more easily and more powerfully. Remember, the metaphysical plane is not bound by space and time as is the physical plane. However, a sustained concentration of thought will influence a physical reality, and under the right conditions will change its physical nature.

OK, so that is quite a long answer to your excellent query. Here’s the short reply: You can indeed influence the outcome of the lottery, but your influence is only slight, and your influence is competing with a myriad of other centers of consciousness who are trying their best to influence the outcome. However, do not be discouraged. You can be the strongest source if do the exercises in the last chapter and focus your right hemisphere on your desired outcome every subconscious moment of your life.

I look forward to your and other readers' comments to my reply.

Hi Toby,
Thanks for writing in on the blog and sharing your thoughts. I am biased, but I entirely agree with your comparison comments. I read that book as well. It is s a lesson in marketing…perhaps one I should take more seriously. I also like your insight about sports psychologist making a good living on the concept of positive thoughts creating positive results, which, after all, is Ordaining Reality in its purest form. They [rightfully] know that positive attitudes deliver positive results. I play golf and, although in the heat of the moment I all too often forget my own advice, every golfer knows that when facing a water hazard you shouldn’t say to yourself…”don’t hit it into the water”…instead you should say something like…”hit it straight down the middle of the fairway”.
Now for your comments/questions on the meditation…many readers have posed similar questions. Based on their feedback, I am in the process of modifying the instructions. I will post them on the blog (probably as a link as it will be several pages) so that readers of existing books will have them as well.
Thank you for sharing your comments, and feel more than free to write a post on the blog again.

I'm not sure I understand one of the above comments on this, but I have been trying the meditation in the "Ordaining Reality in Brief" book. Everything makes sense (sort of) and I do sense that I have seen the light…literally. Sometimes during meditation, though, it seems illusive. The additional comments you (the author) provided are helpful. I don’t know about others, but I could use even more as this seems to be a big piece of the puzzle in making your wishes become reality.

To echo one of the other commenters, good blog BTW.

Thanks in advance for your reply,
